After making toys and games for 20 years, including 14 making video and computer games, I got a chance to develop training simulations for the military... games with a real world purpose. I developed a number of simulations and a VR training system over the next 5 years, and then stepped into public education.
Initially I was in councilor and then a SPED teacher for a few years; this left a pretty negative impression on me but my interest was not squelched. I decided I needed a different tact, one that looked to the future instead of defending the past. I am now midway through a MS in Instructional Design & Technology at an online university (Walden) and looking to connect with the future of education.
