I am an Intervention Specialist at Woodridge High School in Peninsula, Ohio. The 2012-2013 school year will mark my tenth year in education. Before arriving at WHS eight years ago, I worked as a Transition Coordinator (graduate fellowship) in the Center for Innovation in Transition and Employment at Kent State University (2003 - 2004). Prior to that, I was the Student Advocate at Bolich Middle School in Cuyahoga Falls (2001-2002 & 2002-2003 school years).
For the last three years, I have been a SLD Intervention Specialist and the Social Studies Content Specialist within the Special Education Department. Previously, I spent the first four years at WHS as the ED Intervention Specialist. Currently, I serve as the special education representative for the Intervention Assistance Team (IAT), am a member of the district’s Response to Intervention (RTI) Committee, and am the Chair of Woodridge Education Association's Evaluation Committee. In addition, nearly a year ago (i.e., Spring 2012), I completed my administration license at Ashland University.
