About Me: Though my true love is teaching and I have been doing it for 26 years, I have engaged in many different jobs, in my life. I was an accomplished athlete, a retail buyer, a construction worker, a truck parts manager, a mental health technician, a coach, an actor, an asst. director. I have acted on stage and radio. I have performed and directed Improv comedy and regional theatre. I have written articles for publications, scripts for on-stage performances as well as improv skits. I love to write stories and sketch pictures. I am a stalwart science fiction and graphic novel supporter.My reading goes toward an eclectic variety of subjects from fantasy to historical to detective and westerns novels. I was using the internet when our search engines were Gopher, Veronica and Jughead. I started using HTML from its inception. I was world wide before the world wide web. I keep pace with new technologies and new systems starting with my Apple IIE to my own personally built computer today. Two years ago, I started pod-casting and this year I added using Google Docs in my classroom. I take all the skills and knowledge that I have learned (and still learning) over the years and use it extensively in my classroom not only to share with my students but sometimes to act as a personal resource for them.
