After 30 years in K-12 education, Norton transitioned in 2011 to the role of an educational technology broker. Norton's educational career included 15 years as a classroom teacher working in grades pre K - 6 in West Virginia and Pittsburgh and over 20 years as a technology leader at the Fox Chapel Area School District and the Winchester-Thurston School.
In addition Mr. Gusky coordinates the programming for the Three Rivers Educational Technology Conference (TRETC), the premier K-20 learning conference in Western Pennsylvania held each November, and the Quality Classroom Consortium (QCC), a series of workshops that address the use of data to inform instruction, assessment, and curriculum.
Norton also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University. He teaches two courses - Planning for Innovation and Integrating Technology into Teaching and Learning.
