About Me: Personal: I'm from Chapel Hill originally. I've spent my entire life in NC. I'm currently 29 and I teach high school history for a living. I've been married for 4 years and I have an 18 month old son.

Education: I went to elementary, middle, and high school in Orange County NC. After a year at Alamance Community College I transferred to ASU in 2001 and spent the next 3 years getting my history, secondary education degree. I now teach high school history in Burlington, NC. I've been at the same school for 8 years now.

Technology: I've been involved with technology in numerous roles over the years. I've formally studied computer engineering, programming, and networking, and acted as the school instructional technology specialist at the high school where I teach.

Interesting Fact: I have a tattoo of my son's footprint on my right forearm.

Reasons for taking this course: I've always seen Web 2.0 as being the same as 21st century skills - neither is well defined in modern public education. Different teachers and administrators have different definitions of the term. I'm taking the class to get a clear understanding of Web 2.0 technologies and concepts.

Sharing my information: The internet is the greatest resume there is and I plan on treating it like one.
