Hafa Adai (Hello)! I am of Guahan also known as Guam, the largest of the islands in the Marianas chain in the western Pacific and a territory of the United States of America.
I am of the Chamoru people whose ancestors built shelters on high latte stones quarried from coral reefs and limestone beds; these latte are massive, monolithic structures that were constructed, transported and erected without benefit of modern technology. I am of the Perez and Hattori families; familian Titang on my mother's side and one of nine children. I have one son and a geeky-cool husband.
Currently living in Honolulu, Hawai'i, I am a college professor in Information Technology at Kapi'olani Community College/University of Hawai'i and manage the Center for Excellence in Learning, Teaching and Technology. I also teach courses for the Educational Technology Department at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa.
