I've been in education since the 1970s, originally as a K-12 art teacher, then an elementary classroom teacher, and also in various administrative roles - principal, curriculum director, staff development coordinator, and now I work at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as Director of Educational Accountability. I'm interested in online education both from a K-12 perspective since I think it will become an increasingly viable option for public school students, and also for the role it can play in training and professional development of educators, who didn't necessarily grow up with technology to the extent their students have done so.
Aside from my professional interests, I'm also interested in photography, fiber arts, gardening, and keeping up with our four grandchildren - ages 8 months, 1, 6, and 7.
