- I've been teaching at SVMS for 9 years. This is my first year teaching 8th grade language arts. Prior to this, I've taught 7th grade language arts and science. I graduated from Indiana State University in 1992 and '97.
I am married and have 2 children.
I try to remember the woman who inspired me to be a teacher, Mrs. Sharon Kramer (Junior English). She made me feel like I was her favorite student and saw talent in me that no one else seemed to see.
That makes me realize that it's not just what and how we teach, but also how we treat each individual in our classes.
