I was encouraged to participate in your blog because you have made accessibility user friendly. I am not technology proficient, yet, but would love to incorporate use of blogging to help our English a a Second Language Teachers obtain some much needed support nation wide. Classroom 2.0 seems like a great place for me to start. I hope to learn much from your services and other colleagues. Thanks, Lily

Hi Lily
I was just curious about if anyone from Clermont would be a member of Classroom 2.0. And there you are. I have a strong connection to Clermont. It all started 10 years ago when I stayed for four weeks in Clermont during the summer vacation. Ever after, I kept coming back.. people tell me that I've got the Florida sand in my shoes. I was babtised in the Lake Minnehaha and I was also volunteering at Mrs. Sara Lee Sanders class at the Clermont elementary school. I fell in love with the people and the area. A good friend of mine works at Disney.
I'm teaching German, English, Art, Project Management and ICT at the local secondary school. My English students skyped with their Scottish buddies over the last 6 months. We faced some technical problems but apart from that it was exciting.
Do you happen to know a German class at one of your high schools who would like to get in contact with a Swiss secondary class. My students are 9th graders and they've had English for the last two years.
Send some sunshine to Switzerland... it's a rainy summer here. Take care
