- I’m Lenise Ramsey and I have been teaching English, Literature, and writing in Western North Carolina for over 20 years. I currently teach 9th Grade at West McDowell Junior HIgh.
I enjoy being in the classroom and having the opportunity to open young minds to the wonders of literature and the endless possibilities of creativity through writing. My students inspire me every day. My love is poetry and I have had the pleasure of sponsoring the Poetry Out Loud chapter in McDowell County Schools.
I’m also a big fan of Science Olympiad. I had the opportunity to sponsor Sounds of Music in the 2013 regional and state competitions.
