My family is originally from Massachusetts, but I grew up in Monterey, California and attended Boston University (COM) for college. I worked in the Cable and TV industry about 8 years but in 2006, I decided to take a personal sabbatical and visited 16 countries in Europe over three months. When I came back, I decided to transition from corporate work to the non-profit sector and joined the Denver chapter of United Way in a marketing, communications and project management role. In 2009, United Way reduced their marketing staff, and I spent the next full year volunteering as a consultant for organizations like Denver Urban Gardens, Women’s Bean Project and Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado.
In the summer of 2010, I felt that it was time to move back to Boston, where I have extended family. I was extremely fortunate that a Project Manager job at Facing History opened at the same time and I really love my work here.
