I think that this video was very interesting. I love how there were no words used, only text. It interesting to see the point of view of these students. Their point is loud and clear. It is pretty sad that the study shows that these kids have huge class sizes, teachers don't know names, and they never even open the books that they purchase. I would agree that this was similar to my bachlor program. These kids are reading 2300 webpages and 1281 facebook blogs, but only read 8 books a year. It is clear we must start teaching through webpages! The most interesting thing to me is the how much technology these students use. Out of the 26.5 hours, they only spend a total of 6 hours studying or in class. It is even more clear to me of the importance of applying technology in the classroom. This may be the only way we can get these students to create relevence to their everyday life. I am not sure that I agree that technology is the only way to save us, but is a good place to start!
