I am, first & foremost, a child of the Most High. I say that because I am thoroughly aware that GOD LOVES ME!!! I've been through a lot as we all have been through on this journey we call life and I can't take credit for what I've been brought through on that path.
Second, I am a wife of over a decade. God is definitely messing us up and we are lovin' it and looking forward for more to come in every aspect of our lives. My husband and I love to work hard as well. As the Word says, "Whatever you put your hand to will prosper!" We both work whole-heartedly in everything we do. We are connected closely with Richest of Fare Ministries which imparts deep, raw, & intimate praise and worship throughout the world. We don't have kids yet, but look forward to the day when we do. In the meantime we have plenty of nieces and nephews to fill the gap.
I am also a teacher and a life-long learner. I love learning new things and watching others do the same. "My people parish for a lack of knowledge" is the scripture that has rang in my heart for years. I used to play school as early back in my childhood as I can remember. I taught in a private school setting while earning my Bachelor's in Special Education. Upon finishing my degree, I worked for 6 years as a Reading & Language Arts Teacher with students with learning, physical, behavioral, & health disabilities. From there I taught two years of third grade as the general education teacher in a inclusive classroom.
I have also been a trainer and mentor in many areas. I have been a Master Digital Educator for the State of Florida through the Florida Center for Instructional Technology for four years now. I am also a Certified Strategic Instruction Model Professional Developer for the Center of Research & Learning for the University of Kansas. I've mentored first year and pre-service teachers as well as provide support in all areas of teaching to my colleagues.
