- I've been a librarian for 10 years & was a 2nd & 3rd grade teacher for 8 years prior . I love my job! However, the state is slashing budgets for librarias/librarians across the board. Do the powers that be forget that librarians are perfect for connecting students with infomarion in all it's forms and for collaborating with teachers to help students participate in web-based learning communities? Hmmm...
