About Me
Kaakyire Akosomo Nyantakyi is a Ghanaian by birth and an American Citizen by Naturalization. He became a professional teacher in 1972 after a 4-Year Teacher Training College Education. In 1978, Kaakyire published The Torch, a breakthrough English Composition book for Elementary Schools in Ghana. In 1980, he published Crucial Decision, a short novel, and left Ghana for the United States to further studies. In 1983, Kaakyire earned his Bachelor’s Degree in English from the Oklahoma States University in Stillwater, Oklahoma where he published many poems and articles.

In 1986, he left Oklahoma for New York City and became employed by the New York City Board of Education as a Classroom Teacher of English. In 1989, while still teaching, Kaakyire registered with the Queens College of the City University of New York to pursue his Master’s Degree in Creative Writing. In 1991, his MA thesis, Ancestral Sacrifice, received so much critical praise the he developed into a novel which became the Core English Literature for Senior High Schools in Ghana from the year 2002 to 2009.

Kaakyire’s PRACTICAL ENGLISH LEVEL 365 Vo. 1 is a breakthrough teaching guide that both students and teachers could benefit from. It is, indeed, a must have book for every level learner of English.

Most likely the first of its kind, Practical English Level 365 presents a simpler, much more effective and pragmatic approach to the teaching and learning of the English language. Because practice makes perfect, and also because Practical English Level 365 is designed to provide an active controlled course in vocabulary, reading, writing and grammar, the author has made provisions for Day-To-Day-All-Year-Round assignments for practice. After a careful explanation of each unit is a WORKSHOP which provides two exercises a day for 10 days.
To promote effective class participation, Practical English Level 365 provides an Instructional Dialogue which further explains each new subject through teacher-student conversation. The Instructional Dialogue makes it possible to involve every student in the class. This new approach will let each student be part of the lesson. It is believed that if the student carefully and consistently completes all the 730 exercises in both Volume 1 & Volume 2 of Practical English Level 365 within a year or two, he or she should be able to overcome most of the obstacles in Basic English, and also be able to speak and write better English.
