- I love teaching for social justice and encouraging my students to develop critical thinking skills, even at a very young age (you would be surprised). This is VERY challenging in the current corporate culture that is controlling education in the U.S.
I am a firm believer in bilingual education. I saw first hand what a difference it can make, how it improves children's ability to comprehend language at a deep level, and develop real metacognitive skills.
