Smokey, thank you for your nice comments and suggestions on my video.  I guess I should of focused in on the puppet that was talking.  Didn't think of that.  Also, thank you for all your comments during class which helped me to understand more clearly what was being said.  Have a good rest of the summer! Cathy

Good job juggling many components-voice over, image sequence and angle, script, etc. You have A LOT going on in this video from a technical standpoint as well as in your message delivery.  I got really excited thinking about students creating a similar video to capture velocity in action in their own lives. Your animal friends helped to make the math formula accessible and friendly. I really enjoyed the "story teller" feel as well.

I think the message of velocity was clear and was hit home when you added the clips of the car accidents.  I was surprised to hear braddah Iz's music and must say nice touch.

Great job Smokey!  I love the monkey and Mr. Bear.  I also really liked how you incorporated real footage from red light cameras.  The music at the end was a great addition.  Very nice!

Smokey, great video!  It was a nice way to get students interested in math.  Math can be soooo boring at times, and this type of video would really help get more involved in the learning process.

Great points-culturally irrelevant testing. I like your idea of inviting the "powers that be" to see innovation in action. The school I work at was asked to do a 5 minute presentation to the board about how we were using technology. What can you say at a board meeting, in five minutes? Well, a group of students and I created a "Technology Trek" video. One of my students had a great Australian accent, so he acted like the late Crocodile Hunter-looking for technology. In five minutes we SHOWED the board innovation in action. Their eyes were glued to the screen for two reasons: they had no clue what was going on at the classroom level, and they were thrilled to see students involved in the project. As a result, our board is "on board" with innovation!
