- I have been the technology director for Fairfield Schools in Fairfield, Iowa since 1997. Until this last year, I'd pretty much ignored the Web 2.0 movement because I personally don't use social networks - - I had lumped 2.0 tools into the facebook/myspace category. I realize now that the 2.0 technologies go far beyond social networking and can have a real impact in the classroom.
