About Me: James Beckford Saunders - Director of Education, Communication and Workforce Development

BSc (Hons), Graduate Diploma in Marketing (DipM), Graduate Diploma in Management (DipMgt), Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Practitioner, Master of Business Administration (MBA)

James joined UnitingCare Moreland Hall in 2011. He is responsible for overseeing the leadership, management, policy development and service delivery of the Education, Communication and Workforce Development directorate, which responds and prevents alcohol and other drug and mental health related harm to individuals, families and the community.

For over twenty years James has served in management and leadership roles for a variety of leading not-for-profits’ in Australia and the UK including beyondblue: the national depression initiative, Mental Illness Fellowship Victoria, Comic Relief UK, Cancer Research Campaign UK and Community Aid Abroad (Oxfam Australia). James has also worked at the University of Melbourne. He currently lectures in the Master of Commerce (Social Impact and Philanthropy) at Swinburne University.
