- I taught 3rd grade for 20 years before becoming a teacher librarian. I will be starting my 6th year. this August. My husband and I have two children. I like to read BOOKS in my free time. I have found that looking at a screen for an extended period of time has affected my vision. I recently discovered my 13 year old daughter has no knowledge of Appleworks. That reinforced my need to know what is going on in classrooms outside of our school.
