- I have been in the teaching profession since 1972. After substituting for 15 years I went back to school to get a degree in special ed with an emphasis on learning disabilities. Four years ago I returned to school and I am working on a full endorsement in Gifted education. I have been married 41 years to my wonderful Everett, who is now retired. We had 3 children; two boys and a girl. We now have 4 grandaughters and one grandson.
