- I am a special education teacher at Earhart Middle School in Detroit. I am a former Reading First Coach and curriculum leader. I needed to return to the classroom to find out if advances are being made-action research. I have one daughter, 22 years of age, who is working in Kalamazoo as an art therapist. Eventually she hopes to continue her education in art and psychology. I am married to a talented architect who designs schools and performing arts buildings. We hope to design a K-8 school of the future which incorporates thinking and design to accommodate present day learning design with future learning desing. This would include the learning environment, curriculum and leadership.
