About Me
I was a slave Diamond Grove, Missuori. I was stolen a few nights later along with my mother. I was the only one found. In 1890, i enrolled in Simpson College as the first black student to study piano and art. In 1891, I transferred to State Agricultural College (now Iowa State University), Ames, IA. I founded multiple uses for the peanut, and one of them was peanut butter.
