I teach World History and Drama, and develop Philosophy curricula for the high school level. Having worked in schools with varying levels of technology, I developed a perspective that high level thinking must be practical, and students must take ownership of their pursuit of wisdom and 21st century skills. My students benefit and find democratization through digital access and 21st century skills. I believe classroom technology allows students’ imaginations and curiosities to guide their engagements, rather than forcing them into pre-established patterns. Self-acknowledged digital natives, my students see technological innovation as method and means toward critical, creative thinking, and preparedness for the new worlds of learning ahead.
