- I taught secondary social studies for 15 years in the Chicago suburbs and social studies education for 31 years at Indiana University. I have been president of the National Council for the Social Studies and write a monthly column for their journal, Social Education, on using Internet resources to teach social studies. I'm very excited about the promise of Web 2.0 and want to learn more. Your site says that you welcome "beginners"...I am one.
