What i have learned from watching the videos and reading the articles is that it's a very technological world that we teach in. Most of the video content, had me nodding in agreement. I feel as if I when I was a student, things were just starting to dive into the technological age. I feel as if In my education time I was in the Immigrant level, however as a teacher, I think I fall more into the Native stage. Technology really grew into my college years, and now that I'm a teacher I can't imagine a world without it. I also find my self not liking lectures and I try to to put too many of them into my teaching. The students I teach, I feel are in the Native stage. I feel like I am constantly on my toes trying to keep them engaged. They are so wrapped up in computers and video games, that I feel I have to constantly come at them with technology to keep them engaged!

Also, I really enjoyed the Digital Text video. It made me realize how technological this world has become. We rely a lot technology and  you never hear about "hey did you get my letter" it's more "hey did you get my email, my text, etc." See what the students had to say makes you realize how important it is to keep up with technology and reach out to them. Also the web has gotten to be a bigger deal, and it made me wonder how it all got started, and I realize, that "we" are the web! The web is a place to share, trade, and collaborate! Its a place that people can communicate with out having to confront reality and you can be creative and easily correct mistakes! Learn to love it, technology is the future!
