About Me: Deepti was a mainstream teacher for a few years when the faculty of ‘IT in Education’ caught her interest. After completing her Masters in Education, she initiated IT in her Science, English and Math lessons to make learning meaningful for her students. She has worked towards making learning cross-curricular. Also, on her agenda is providing students with the 21st century skills to navigate through today’s changing learning scenarios and to make learning a personalised experience. Winner of the Microsoft Innovative Teachers’ Leadership Award, she represented India at Seoul in 2005. She completed her Certificate of Educational Studies from The College of Teachers, Institute of Education, London, UK and Honours Diploma in Web Technology in 2002 from NIIT. She is trained in Teaching Languages through Technology from Trinity College, UK with a Distinction Grade in her ICT project from Consultant-E, Spain. Since the last five years, she is working as the Leader for ICT in a prestigious educational institution in New Delhi and is the on-site trainer for Promethean IWBs (Interactive White Boards). She is involved in developing CPD courses on Moodle for staff and also provides consultancy to schools on ICT integration. She will now be training staff on Mac and IPads integration.
