About Me

Artist/PBL Facilitator-CHS New Tech. My BA is in Fine Art, Major: Studio Art, Minor: Art History. I've completed my transition-to-Teaching and I am working on my Masters at IU Northwest. I teach all Visual Arts at Calumet High School in Gary, IN including 2D and 3D Design, Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Sculpture, Dig. Photo, and Photoshop/Illustrator. I recently became a graduate of New Tech Network's New Schools Teacher Training. Current Major Project: Designing a rigorous project based learning curriculum for our new course "da Vinci Math" - an integrated Algebra I and Art course that incorporates a variety of Art Media.
