About Me
I have been teaching for 20 years and have raised 3 children We live on a 30-acre farm in rural NC. I love teaching science and consider myself creative and innovative. I am currently teaching 7th grade physical science.

Our school is investigating more instructional media, using laptops in the classroom; trying to meet the students where they currently live- in the world of technology! I need lots of direction and would like to network with other teachers about what works for them.

Hi Cindy, The Instructional Media program is a 30-credit master's program. Specific information can be found at There is also a link to the program requirements from this page. The IM program is in partnership with Discovery Education and is one of our most popular online programs. I think you would find that the program will help you a lot in finding some ideas to incorporate technology in the classroom. Some of the topics in the courses include: blogs, wikis, audio and video, digital storytelling, project-based learning, etc. I hope this helps. Please feel free to email me at me with any additional questions. ~Barb
