Hi Cherilyn,

I have some insight I'd like to share on the market.

Apple is developing their own educational application marketplace outside of the iTunes format. Once established, schools will no longer need to sync and download via iTunes.

Consider developing you AP to function on a remote server, or "cloud".

Have it operate on all platforms, many schools are using Nooks as android devices in their schools, rather than implementing iPads. Nooks are 1/3 rd the price of an iPad.

Further, there will be numerous android platforms on the market in the near future.

I recommend that you attend ISTE this year, it will be outside of Philly the end of this month. There will be many new technologies that may possibly host your product.

It will be worth the trip, I'll be visiting there at least once.

That's the story.....JJC

Hi Cheryl,

Sorry for the delayed response.

I am sorry that I do not have any inside information or advice on BOE's decisions.

Personally, I would contact all of the curriculum directors in each district, by email and by phone. There are about 660 districts in NJ, some have only one school, others have about 10 schools within their district.

The State BOE is insulated. However, call and leave messages, the worst they can say is no.

Good Luck     JJC

Dera Cherilyn,

I had the pleasure of visiting your myiphonics website. Very nice.

I admire your endeavor.

Now...All you need is to get the NYC BOE to adopt your program. After all, they have purchased a lot of iPads last year, lots of iPads!

I've been in EduTech sales for 9 years now, so if you have any questions, drop me an email.

vised@optonline.net

I'll give you an honest answer, or guide you to the right source.

JJC
