About Me
I was born in Wisconsin, but grew up in California and was working as an education reporter for a newspaper before coming to Cambridge. I majored in biopsychology in college, and science research was a big part of my life too.

I'm interested in educational research and evaluation for media outlets and software--esp. those that focus on science education--but I have lots of other things in mind that I think would be fun, too. I'm a part-time project coordinator for Goodman Research Group Inc. for the evaluation of "Sid the Science Kid," a new PBS TV show and website for preschool-ish little ones. It's a very new job for me! :)

Other tidbits about me: I enjoy exploring town, trying to cook, and engaging in dangerous sports (figure skating, aerial tissu and hoops, sky diving...), but I also have some hobbies that are less life-threatening like designing and reading.

And yes, that's a real cake. My old job had a tradition of giving new hires cakes with their faces on it. :)

Hi Cathy!

Hope you're enjoying the winter break. I was wondering if you have any 2ndary education contacts who would be interested in participating in a nationwide Vocab Video Contest @ MIT. We're trying to get the word out as much as possible because the more videos we get, the more helpful we can be!

You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
