- I've been teaching .. forever. I am the oldest child in a very large family. I have always been a tutor/teacher. My formal teaching career began in 1989. I taught Remedial Reading for 8 years, 5th grade for 5 years, and have taught ESL since 2001. I am a lifelong learner and try to instill that in my students.
