About Me: I currently teach 6th grade. I am in my fourth year teaching and I graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2006. My husband Josh, is also a teacher. We love spending our summers off traveling internationally.

It is evident that students today spend the majority of their time using technology--facebook, twitter, texting--it's how they communicate. As a teacher, I have to plan technology driven lessons to keep the attention of my students. I also have to be willing to learn the latest trends in technology in order to connect with my students. I believe technology gives teachers limitless opportunities to expand student learning. I am excited to continue learning new methods of incorporating technology into my lessons--it's a necessity in today's classroom!
