- I was born to teach! I have been a middle and high school gifted and advanced English/language arts teacher in Florida and North Carolina public schools for the past twenty years and find no greater happiness than to see my students succeed. I believe every child is gifted in their own way, and students need to be challenged to think! I am also a National Board Certified Teacher in Young Adolescence Language Arts. I enjoy writing language arts curriculum that is creative and interdisciplinary in scope, integrating technology and considering multiple intelligences. I believe in a student-centered classroom with the teacher as a coach enabling students to discover and reach their potential and their natural desire to learn.
