- I grew up in Lake Arrowhead, went to the University of Redlands for College. I teach the 5th grade GATE cluster at Lasselle Elementary in the Val Verde USD in Moreno Valley. I have been teaching for 16 years. I have been teaching the GATE cluster for 2 years and I find it quite challenging. My son is a GATE student and my daughter is not. I would consider my husband GATE even though I don't think he was ever tested. I now see the parent and teacher side of things. I myself am not GATE. I am the average middle of the road learner. There you have it.
