Part ROP/CTE time teacher @Black Oak Mine Unified School District, Georgetown, CA.
About Me
It's really not about me, it's about my school and our students. Due to budget cuts, we cannot maintain our emphasis next year, for ROP/CTE programs.
As you can see by the attached photo [me, btm right w/white hat], our class at Golden Sierra High School, Team 2, designed and installed their 1st Solar Shed and won an award at the annual Shed Build Competition.
I am concerned that this may be the 1st and last year for this kind of curriculum enhancement.
Sec. Duncan, we need approx. $3.4 Millions Dollars in our school district to get over the budget hump, in order to follow the direction of President Obama to 'Rebuld America's Infrastructure' by utilizing current technology curricula.
You may have heard of a rural town being described as
" a One light town". Well, Georgetown, CA., is a One light town, but without a light. Now that's rural !.
I saw your TV interview and decided to contact you and to ask you for financial assistance, without going through ALL the RED tape. That's just the kinda gut I am. You seem to be that way also. I like that quality in a person.
Cordially,
Allen Robert Carrozza
