- About Me
- I teach Adult Basic Education to people who lost their confidence re: Shakespeare and other "intellectual" things when they were in high school. I've taught Shakespeare in HS and think youngsters (and other beginners) should start with comedies. I've even taught Much Ado About Nothing to English language learners! They love it. We read a simplified version, learn language and expressions which are common, find about the Bard, practice insults and do other connections. Then we see a really good DVD. I've taught R&J, Much Ado, and Shakespeare in Love -- all very accessible. Shakespeare was meant to be watched and enjoyed.
