I will be teaching a  web 2.0 class for a high school (homeschool) co-op.

Do you have any suggestions for free internet safety software available we can install on each students' laptop (which will protect them from unwanted popups, particularly any porn sites or malware)?

I want it to be FREE so that parents are more likely to have it installed on their individual laptops. (My philosophy is- NO excuses.)

Thanks in advance.

K9 Blue Coat Filtering Software is free for Windows Computers. However, be aware that free means it may not block as much as paid software.

At the bottom of this web page, there are some suggestions for Internet Safety software parents can install at home http://www.rockingham.k12.va.us/netsafety/netsafety-parents.htm
