Anyone have any ideas about organizing exceptional websites for teachers to share? Our school tech committee is toying with the idea of a delicious account as a sort of database for teachers in house. We've found lots of sites that have suggestions and top tens, but no real database.

Hi Jessica:

You can use digg/ social bookmarking websites [you might want to check StumbleUpon too - this might be something more suited for website sharing]. Otherwise, why don't you set up a free wordpress blog and have them all there - just enter the title as something descriptive and then add some description, URL - you can tag it too. You can search these too.

Thanks

This sounds like what we're looking for! I'll bring it up at our meeting tomorrow morning and see if anyone has worked with these. I know we have some that use wordpress for websites so I'm sure there will be takers. Thanks!
I'm thinking of making a shared delicious page for our school staff, and another for students. I haven't looked into how to protect it from misuse yet - I'll probably give teachers the login details for their one, but do the students' one myself.
