Study Stack is a website for making study tools such as flash cards. You (or the students) enter data. At the bottom of that page there are various game and presentation formats you can select.

I have registered a group account so colleagues can play without registering. I use the same information when I give workshops. I will clear the files once a month, so if you like what you see and want to create work to keep and use in class, I suggest that you register.

If you want to use my account -->
Username: bigreturnsgroup
password: bigreturns
email if you're asked: small.changes.big.returns@gmail.com

If you don't want to use your personal email, try setting up a class gmail account and make up a simple password.

EG: for my school (White Rock Learning Centre) I have used
email: wrlc.sign.in@gmail.com
username: wrlc.sign.in (the kids know that the email and username are always the same)
password: wrlc1wrlc2 (it has enough letters and numbers that it's pretty universal)

I'll post other tools as I find them. You might want to add to the list. Thanks to Richard Byrne in his blog for this tip.

Here is another one - Anki is a spaced repetition system (SRS). It helps you remember things by intelligently scheduling reviews, so that you can learn a lot of information with the minimum amount of effort. http://www.ichi2.net/anki/
Here is a list of Easy Game Creators https://wiki.usask.ca/display/db/Easy+Game+Creators I'm always looking for other examples.
Here's my contribution to the list: http://quizlet.com/

My son has been using this tool to help study for tests. He anticipates what the teachers will put on the test. Creates a set of his own test questions. Then quizzes himself in a variety of ways.

If a class or small group of students did something like this collaboratively I suspect it would have powerful learning consequence. ;-)
