Using Classroom 2.0 for collaborative professional development.

I really like the idea of asynchronous learning which the internet makes very convenient and I would like to expand this concept to staff development in our school. I would like to use this and other educational communities for professional developments with our teachers. Do you have any ideas on how it can be done effectively?

You can take a look at my site for 23 Things that is focused on Web 2.0. There are many 23 Things projects out there with http://plcmclearning.blogspot.com/ being the first. It's great for asynchronous learning because people do it when they have time, but the blogging aspect helps people feel they are still part of a community of learners.
