Teaching history through Lady Gaga?

Teachers in Hawaii are trying a new approach to teaching history: instructing through pop music. They have found that integrating history lessons into the lyrics of popular songs is incredibly effective in teaching students topics that may otherwise seem boring: The French Revolution, Mary Queen of Scots, Leonardo Di Vinci, just to name a few.
