When we think social, we immediately go to the mindset of communicating with someone in a verbal form. But, do we ever stop to think about how we communicate and what it does to and for those around us? As powerful people, the leaders of our countries and our homes and our neighborhoods create environments that are either condusive for a successful future or a hindrance and stunts the growth of the possibly successful, in our environments. For instance, the individual that wants to be more, but resides in the slummed city or the projects is already pegged to be nothing. I find myself feeling that there is a responsiblity that I have as not only an educator, but also a product of the same environment, to teach them and guide them to step outside of the box. I find myself wishing that I had more power to do more aand create a more successful future with the snap of my fingers. Unfortunately, my power simply stops with encouragement and a little knowledge. I can only be the teacher. What does power have to do with the social responsibility of our society and the major figures that it entails?

By having power it can make an individual stronger physically, mentally and emotionally because if you find yourself surrounded in a negative envioroment then you all alone can make a change. You can determine wether  if the actions of others are right or wrong and you can choose to either be a leader or a follower.Power can bring forth dramatic changes to a society because if someone important makes new laws then that certain society would have to abide by those certain laws wether you like it or not ,but you have to determine if you want to do whats good for everyone in your society or if you want to let others have a bad impression '')....

What you are saying is making complete sense.  But, I find myself wondering how does the person that chooses to be the leader have a responsiblity to the people that are in they community?  Does the president have a direct responsibility to your household?  If the president does something wrong, is he not just as human?  As community members, sometimes we forget that our leaders are just as human as we are.  In your repsonse you say that power can bring forth dramatic changes, but what about the changes that can be created from those who consistently choose to follow?  I feel that one person can make a difference and change a whole society, am I wrong?

No, I would have to say that the individual that chose to be a leader is not responsible for the actions of others although he can help and guide them towards the right path.Yes he is just a human being just like anyone else because everyone makes mistakes in  life wether it was meant or not things like that happen. If those individuals tend to do positive things then the outcome would be much better then those who always choose to do whats wrong in life. No, I would have to definitely agree with you because it only takes one person to MAKE A CHANGE!!!!;;)

I agree with you because it so true about what you are saying.Power do boost a person self-confidence.

Agreeing with me does not make this response plausible.

I feel as having power you think can make a difference but in some places it can't. Even though people talk about how things are or how they wish can change them doesn't mean others will agree. Say for instance you live in a negative environment, it took people to follow one person or took actions to give that environment a bad name. Just as the one person made an environment seem bad it's gone have to take somebody who' s mind set is as persuasive as them to get others to change it back positive. It's up to the society to take the power and use it as either a good or bad thing..

Well I kinda agree with her statement but again power can make an individual stronger and they can make their own decisions if they see someone doing something negative then its up to that individual to ethier follow them or ty to avoid them, but it all depends on the actions of that individual.

I agree one person can spoil a whole bunch because it just like the saying monkey see monkey do.If it look cool people are sure to follow.

So what does this mean?  This is not a plausible response that has any substance.  It does not count for credit.

Your response is correct and I must agree.  But, for clarity, are you saying that it took one person to make it a bad environment so it should only take one person to revert that newly found structure?  If that is the case, is there a criteria that this person must meet in order for the community to take them serious?  I'm just curious because if a kid from Highland Park comes to Maceo and tries to change it, are you guys going to be receptive? Just askin. :)

no , we want be receptive.

This answer is not a proper response and therefore is not worthy of being counted for a grade.  If you dont think, you dont pass!
