Hi, does anyone have any experience using Augmented Reality in teaching or making elearning apps? For example, see www.livingsasquatch.com .

Basically this technology relies on a printed marker and a desktop webcam.

Does anyone, especially teachers, see the value in this over a simple 3D animation?
And if so, what purposes would best suit it? I can see some value in biology for example.

Thanks!

I just saw the video of twitter’s first augmented reality iPhone app and now I am wondering if there are already tools for classrooms that are using augmented realtiy. E.g. going in a museum + seeing extra content left by teachers/"the web".
And since you, Tyson, posted almost the same topic, I put mine here too instead of opening a new discussion.
