Just finished a book called OWN THE ROOM. It's mostly about business presentations, but I've been using it for a media class I teach at a local university. WOW! Among the basics, choosing a presentation "objective", choosing a "role" to help define your language, and the use of anecdotes to reinforce understanding. The authors worked with a UCLA PH.D. on cognitive theory to come up with this, and I think it works. It's out now, but you can read a sample at
