Please help!  We had a student teacher who used an iPad with a
student. She said she use an app you could read a story and record it
on the iPad then listen to it.  It is not just a record app the text
was on the iPad for you to read as you recorded. We can not find this
app since the iPad were updated.  The Toy Story app has this
capability but it will only allows you to read Toy Story.  The app she
used had many different stories to chose from.  Does anyone have a
suggestion to what app she could be referring?  Thanks for your help.

Sounds a bit like Sparklefish.

Sparklefish comes with 4 stories for free, additional for $0.99 each and it's more of a "Mad Libs" type thing where you get a title and then record nouns, verbs, adverbs, etc and then hear the playback with a mix of the app voice and student voice.

Might not be the one you used, but sounds similar.
