Hi,

Does anyone know how to bring up the widget at the bottom of the main page: Translate this network?

I'm running a Ning site for teachers addressing educational inequity in 15 countries.

Thanks,

Mohammed

It's at the bottom of the page for me. Which browser are you using?

Also, if you use Google's Chrome browser it should automatically recognize a site in a different language and offer to translate it.
I'm using Google Chrome...
The thing is I'm looking for 'whole site to be translated and launched in a new browser window' - same as the one in classroom2.0...
I can do individual pages through google chrome but need the widget code for whole site... any ideas?

Thanks
Christopher
So you basically want to add a widget to your site, like the one here...

Try these links for some translating widget code...

I just realized you have your own Ning. I haven't built a Ning in a while but if I recall, the "Translate this network" widget is an optional widget when building your pages.

Since Ning went to a subscriber platform with various fee scales, the "Translate this network" feature might not be available on all subscription levels.

The sites with the html code I posted above should work no matter what, just add an html snippet box and paste in the code you want.
Many thanks for your reply - however none of these actually convert the whole site - it just individual pages.
That's why I like the widget (HTML CODE) on this website as it converts the whole website... and I don't need to display HTML change code on each page...
Any ideas?
I've contacted the owner of this site but he has not got back to me yet.
The links to the code I posted will translate the entire site. I've added the code from madtomatoe.com (the first link I posted above) to my blog and it translates the entire site, comments, Twitter feed, etc.

And again, if you are using Ning as a platform it is probably an available widget.
Ning don't provide an available widget for this.
Does it open the entire site in a browser window?
Sorry to be a pain but trying to find a way to get this to work
Thanks Christopher
Also the google one is not compatible with Ning - When I click on the Spanish it takes me to a new sign in screen and goes back to English - Strange but guessing it's a Ning compatability issue.

Is there any way of reaching the owner of this website or web master to just send me the embed they use?
Must be a Ning issue then.

The Google widget I used on my blog will open the site in a new tab or window, but to me that isn't a big deal.

Shoot Steve Hargadon a message, if I'm not mistaken he is the gentlemen who set up this Ning.
Thanks for your help Christopher - much appreciated.
