Jobs in Web 2.0/Social Media

Hello everyone!

I have been teaching professionally now for the past seven years, earned an administrative credential, an Ed.S. in Computing Technology in Education, and working towards a Ph.D. in the same field. 

My question is for all of you who work in the Web 2.0/Social Media field.  I am looking to eventually move out of the classroom and would love to move into a Web 2.0/Social Media position.

What are your recommendations?  My hope is to use my experience with these technologies to either become a Director of Distance Education, Instructional Program Manager, or possibly into the business field as a Corporate Trainer and Distance Learning expert.

I would also appreciate the opportunity of speaking to someone either through Skype or phone.
