Hello all
Greetings. I am an IT Management Consultant and I am evaluating the option of launching a startup that can provide a secure Web 2.0 (online) service to schools. From what I have seen in this website (Classroom 2.0), I don't believe that my ideas are competing against the goals of this website so I don’t see a conflict of interests here. If you think otherwise, please advise and accept my sincere apologies. In fact, I see the two ideas as being very complementary.
My starting hypothesis is that there is a market of schools that would be receptive to the idea of a (nominally) paid service that offers a secured Web 2.0 community. Although there are a plethora of free web 2.0 sites, I could not many that offer a comprehensive set of Web 2.0 capabilities and are fenced by a security perimeter.
While researching on this topic, I came across this website. As educators, your perspectives/ opinions would be very valuable to make an informed decision.
Finally, if I can be of any assistance to you please let me know.
Thanks
- Venkatesh Iyer
