I am going to ask about Designing with Technologies next week. My audience will be preservice teachers for primary and secondary schools. I am wondering did anybody require students to conduct design activities in his/her class room? I would like to know how it worked, the technology involved and students' feedback.
Thanks

Could you be more specific as to what you consider a design activity? My guess is that we call it something else in the US?
In my textbook, they talked about have students design various objects, such as a gravity-driven catapult, a coaster car with the aid of simulator software. I am wondering is there any other design topic than enhance learning. Can such design activities be used to teach social science apart from natural science?
also, the role of technology in these actives also interests me a lot.
